Y'know, once you hit 40, your memory's never the same... I've not been able to update my blog because for the life of me, I could not remember my password. So, I just hit the "forgot password" thingy and I thought all would be right with the world. Well... unfortunately when Adelphia switched to Comcast, my e-mail address went bye-bye. Happily, I found another way to regroup, so here I am!
Alot has happened. We raised about $500 for Room to Read and were able to send 2 girls to school from Cambodia, so I'm happy we could help in some way. I've left the account open with Vermont Helps Room to Read, so they will still be able to take contributions, which is very nice.
I've also started another business. I had lots of people asking if I would teach them how to build and market their website, so I started "Got Clicks?" to teach people how to build and market their websites affordably. I put together a snappy little logo and I've taught about 8 classes so far. The groups have been small (many up here in Vermont had no idea what a webinar was muchless what e-marketing was) so it's been an uphill battle trying to brand this business.

My son, Tony and I had the pleasure of attending the Vermont Women's Expo and we offered a free webinar for people to sign up to win. I had left the booth to do some networking and left my 12-year old in charge. A lady came up and started filling out the entry blank. My son said,
"Thanks for signing up. Do you have high speed internet?"
"No. I don't have a computer, either. Do you need one?"
uh... yeah, that would help. Tony (always quick on his feet) suggested she could take the class from her local library. I love a problem-solver; anyone who can answer a predicament with such a timely answer will go far in life.
I've posted on craigslist and that's been a help. Also word of mouth goes a long way. Check out the site
http://www.gotclicks.biz and tell your friends! Our next webinar is May 1st. I hope you can join us.
